What we collect

ziffaro is a static website of free calculators. The numbers you type into a tool are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to or stored on our servers.

Cookies & analytics

We use no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. A theme preference (light or dark) may be stored locally in your browser; it never leaves your device.

For traffic statistics we use two cookieless tools. Umami is open-source analytics that we run on our own server at analytics.balmac.ch; the data stays with us and is not passed to any analytics company. Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.) provides aggregate page-view and performance figures. Neither sets a cookie, neither fingerprints your browser, and neither builds a profile of you or follows you to other websites. Both only ever report totals — which pages were read, roughly which device categories and referrers. Where the GDPR or Swiss law applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), using tools chosen precisely because they work without identifying visitors.

Advertising

ziffaro currently runs no advertising. No advertising script is loaded and no advertising cookies are set. If advertising is introduced later, this policy will be updated before it goes live, and visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland would be asked for their consent first.

Third parties

Some pages link to external sources (clearly marked). Those sites have their own privacy policies. Apart from the hosting and analytics providers named above, we share your data with no one — because we do not collect it.
